Consulting
Consulting services are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and include both remote work and in-person travel outside of Texas. The typical project includes human capital strategic planning as well as leadership training for executives, managers, and supervisors. I work alongside leadership to execute projects focused on change management, talent acquisition, talent planning, succession planning, employee engagement, employee retention, and human resource development. Additional consulting projects vary and include: fractional CHRO services, strategic planning, Strengths coaching, competency modeling, and improvisation for business. Previous consulting work includes a variety of industries: manufacturing, real estate, communications, shipping, civic organizations, and transportation. While I serve a variety of clients; my specialty is supporting high-growth, midsize businesses including those working with Private Equity (PE) or growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Academic Affiliation
Upon completing my Doctorate of Philosophy in Information Science and Learning Technology in 2020, I continue to work with universities as an adjunct professor and with my academic research. I currently teach at SMU Cox School of Business Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) program teaching Human Capital Strategy. I also teach business management courses and conduct research with the University of North Texas in Denton. My research interests include studying the impact of formal training programs on workers’ behaviors in the aviation industry. More recently, I am working with non profit organizations to understand how communication can impact community behaviors in terms of school district enrollment. My academic research has taken me to Germany, Canada, Malta, and across the United States to present at international conferences. These discoveries are published in peer-reviewed journals and books chapters. Additional research interests include: knowledge management, information behavior, work tribes, behavior change, wisdom, unlearning, and deception in information.
